Civil Engineer 3

JOB DESCRIPTION
Due to the ever-increasing demand for our design and construction management services, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer 3. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong desire to produce superior designs utilizing the latest in design technologies. This individual should have a strong desire to participate in a team environment and a genuine interest in developing their expertise in a number of categories within civil design such as residential, commercial, industrial, golf course communities, and marinas. This role would work alongside senior engineers on projects ranging from paving, drainage, and roadway designs to gathering data for developing a rationale for permit applications of regional significance. This role requires utilizing current software including AutoCAD Civil 3D Design, ICPR3 and 4, LiDAR and other recently developed remote sensing technologies.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete assigned tasks according to established project scope, budget, and schedule for multiple assigned projects
  • Prepare and review design computations for water, sewer, and drainage systems
  • Conduct construction site visits to monitor progress, host inspections, and conduct field assignments (mileage is compensated)
  • Prepare local, state, and federal permit applications for agencies such as any of the five water management districts in the State of Florida, the Army Corps of Engineer (dredge and fill), Florida Department of Transportation (driveway connections and drainage permits)
  • Prepare project design packages including technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Assist the team by executing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong AutoCAD (Civil 3D) design skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • A willingness to perform a variety of tasks as needed to complete an assignment and satisfy project demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

DESIRED

  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer (or the ability to obtain within twelve months of hire)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 annual salary, commensurate with experience.
